Dave’s Picks Vol. 5 – Officially Licensed Grateful Dead Pendant
Sterling silver • Handcrafted inlay • Limited edition of 13
This officially licensed pendant brings to life the album artwork from Dave’s Picks Volume 5, a recording featuring Grateful Dead’s November 17, 1973 performance at Pauley Pavilion, on the campus of UCLA in Los Angeles California. Released in 2013, the album artwork features a whimsical scene that’s reimagined here in wearable form—just 13 pieces were made.
The design features Uncle Sam jamming on acoustic guitar with a massive bear by his side, sitting on a grassy hillside with lightning bolts flashing behind them. A raven soars overhead as the two unlikely bandmates share a moment under a deep violet sky. The bear’s paw holds a jug labeled “8,” referencing the playful imagery in the original album art.
Crafted in sterling silver and inlaid with natural stone and shell, each pendant is a vibrant work of miniature storytelling—capturing both the joy and surreal charm that defines the Dead’s visual universe. The piece is finished with a rich blue gemstone-inlaid bail to echo the twilight tones above.
A must-have for Dead Heads, collectors, and lovers of musical myth, this pendant celebrates the thunder, harmony, and humor of a legendary live show.
Each piece of our jewelry is handmade and crafted with natural materials. Variations in color and pattern are part of the process, so your piece may differ slightly from the photo — making it truly yours.
