Dave’s Picks Vol. 8 – Officially Licensed Grateful Dead Pendant
Sterling silver • Handcrafted inlay • Limited edition of 13
This officially licensed pendant brings to life the album artwork from Dave’s Picks Volume 8, a recording featuring Grateful Dead’s performance on November 30, 1980, at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta, Georgia. Released in 2013, the show is revered for its tight instrumentation, warm energy, and the Dead’s unique ability to blend Americana, psych, and roots music into something entirely their own. Just 13 of these pendants were made to honor the release.
The pendant design features a trio of skeleton musicians performing beneath a star-filled night sky. The central figure plays acoustic guitar in striped trousers and a red bandana, while two others accompany him on guitar and drums—seated beside a cannon wheel and a wooden barrel. The background pops with a rich lapis-colored sky, glowing stars, and a red-and-white bannered stage, creating a scene that feels both theatrical and timeless.
Handcrafted in sterling silver and inlaid with natural stone and shell, each detail is carefully built into the composition—from the textured earth beneath their feet to the shadows cast by their instruments. A deep blue gemstone-inlaid bail completes the look, echoing the evening sky above.
This piece is ideal for Dead Heads, collectors, and lovers of music folklore. It’s a tribute to the power of storytelling, song, and the never-ending dance between life and death—rendered in a moment of joy.
Each piece of our jewelry is handmade and crafted with natural materials. Variations in color and pattern are part of the process, so your piece may differ slightly from the photo — making it truly yours.
